Tax Refund Opportunities!
Save up to $3,200 through mid-November with top-of-the-line system!
Installing an energy efficient system in your home this year will save you money on heating and cooling expenses and make you eligible for up to $3,200 in tax refunds and rebates, available through November 13, 2009. Through 2010, the federal tax stimulus is offering a $1,500 refund for the installation of a qualified energy-saving unit.
The qualifications are based on the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) – a government energy efficiency rating system. Air conditioning systems receiving a rating of 16 SEER and heat pumps with a rating of 15 SEER qualify for the refund. At Beaver Brothers, we can help you find a system that both meets those qualifications and is right for your home.
Rebates from Duke Energy, Carrier and Piedmont Natural Gas are also available. Duke Energy is offering a $200 rebate on units that qualify with a rating of 14 SEER and include an ECM indoor fan motor. Until November 15, 2009 Carrier is offering savings from $50 to $1,200 on products depending on their level of energy efficiency. Piedmont Natural Gas is giving $300 rebates for the installation of gas furnaces that rate 90% efficiency or higher.
